If I could give 0 stars I would! this is the absolute worst moving company EVER! RUN FAST! customer service is horrible! and they are a bunch of scams! So initially I booked with an other company and I wish like hell I kept them, but I priced around and came across these bums and bc they were cheaper I went with them. the first phone call with Isabella was good no issues booked my move I told her what I needed which I as a 26 ft truck bc I'm moving a 4 bdrm home. she confirmed that I was getting that a 3 movers. a 3 hr min was required ok cool, so the next day I called bc I never received a call from an arrival time. I was told I would get a call soon but don't have one at the time yet. So nearly 9 pm I get a call from Cora stating my arrival window I then asked if I didn't use the full 5 hrs i wouldnonlybgwt charged for what I used , she put me on hold and then came back and said her manager said its a 5 hr min. I said that's not what I was told l. She then brought him in from the jump he was unprofessional and saying bc of the size of my home it's going to be 5 hrs or more I saidnthats not my wue I just wanted to confirm what I asked about not needing that much time bc my husband had already started moving some items. He then said bc it's Saturday and a holiday weekend and ppl want to be with their families. so o called ur company and asked if u all were availab and u all said yes. so bc im booking ur company for a business that u all said u were available for me as a paying customer have to bare that! that's absurd so moving day movers are great no issues, until my husband noticed they were packing the truck pretty quickly and had to do two runs. So mind u we didn't see the truck until it was unpacked the second and last time. my husband seen that it was still a bunch of furniture left on the truck he thought it was ours. ine of the livers said that they had another drop after ours they had picked that up and had to drop off in GA. my husband said so wait half the truck was already filled before so that's why it tools two runs bc u all aren't Ben packing our items in a full truck! the movers said they weren't aware we dint know that he thought we were told. What kind of supposedly professional business would do some mess like that! so they charged us for 6 hrs for a job that according to their own movers said would have only taken 1 trip not two so obviously that would've been less money. So I called the company and the guy which was the same asshole from the day before answers the phone saying hello no greeting or anything I had to ask if it was bold movers. smh so I inform him of my distaste for what we just found out and he proceeds to say well it was an 8 hr job and u only paid for 6 which was not the case at all. We paid for 6 bc that's how long it took but it would've only taken about 4 with 1 trip. So hes overtalking me and trying to negate the fact we didn't have a full 26 ft truck. so bc I'm getting no resolve and obviously otp with someone that knows nithing about professionalism or customer service I become very upset. This POS calls me a B**** and a C***! yes he called me out my name I told him I would be suing him and he said sue me then b****! When I say disgusted was an understatement only a coward would call a woman out her name and talk like this over the phone bc if this happened in person im sure it would've bc my husband would have knocked every tooth out his head! And tbh after I told him he was livid which is an understatement bc my husband may have went to jail tonight bc that's how mad he was. So DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE HORRIBLE! pay more and get better service! bc these ppl are ghetto!

RUN!!!! Raining? No problem. We'll load up your stuff, wrap it in a wet blanket and let mold and mildew grow the entire trip. Need a little more time? No problem, we'll store it for free for 30 days and then reload all the heavy boxes on top so they literally tumble off the truck. Nice floors and walls? No problem. We'll get those scratched up nice and good for you. Turn in a claim? No problem. We'll tell you we'll process it within 30 days (but we won't) then we'll significantly undervalue the damage and offer you next to nothing. Damage done to your home? Not covered.

PLEASE!!!! Find yourself a different moving company!

After a horrific long-distance moving experience with another company, I was very reluctant to hire another company for another move. However, after speaking several times with Bold, including sharing my past experience, I was somehow convinced that this would not result in the same debacle. And, I was right. Bold honored its commitments, and then some. Even though my final truck volume was more than originally estimated, they did not charge for the overage. And, most importantly, all of my items arrived the first day of the delivery window. What's more, Sr, Manager, Mr. Joshua ** ensured complete, start-to-finish service by personally showing up at delivery, directing and helping the unload. In short, Great Job Bold!! They will be my only call when it comes time for my next long-distance move.

Josh, one of the owners of this business according to him, GUARANTEED our belongings would be delivered by July 10, when they were instead delivered on July 15. No one from the company contacted us to let us know they would not be delivered when guaranteed, we had to contact them. We were told catastrophes within the company had occurred two weeks prior, we were told one of the employees had been killed in a car accident, which left the company short of workers. This however did not explain why the company did not let us know all of this five days before, when they picked up our belongings.

Beyond this, Josh bragged about how companies without branded moving trucks were not ones to be trusted, however the moving truck that delivered our belongings was an enterprise moving truck, showing our stuff had obviously been moved from one truck to another. This moving process from moving truck to moving truck explains the thousands of dollars worth of damage (before tax) to our belongings (one of our tvs, our printer, two mirrors, our plates, our cement coffee table, clock, tv stand, dresser).

Cement is pretty hard, so it really would have had to have been extremely poorly handled to be broken in the way that it was (this is a 250 lb table, it’s not fragile).

The icing on the cake was after leaving our review (almost verbatim to the above review) on the Better Business Bureau website, Bill B., according to him the president of the company, let us know that we would receive $200 for the damage to our belongings, if we took our review down. If we didn’t take it down, we would receive nothing.

Neither my husband or I appreciate threats, bribery, or deceitful businesses, so it looks like we will receive nothing, and Bold Moving and Storage will keep an unresolved complaint on the BBB website.

The movers arrived late the first day and played with our tv or their phones . The second day they arrived at 10am and finished at midnight with my help. I put my stuff in boxes with the name of the room in it (something they didn’t do and no member on it). At the end they threw our stuff in the truck saying they never lost anything. They put our stuff in storage and while we had agreed on a date, delivered it 20 days later. And surprise: a lot of broken and lost objects (3 boxes and two pieces of bathroom furniture plus a step ladder)

This company is a nightmare

We were blown away by the quality of work and level of professionalism. We began looking for movers about a month before our actual move date. Instantly we got berated by calls from everyone in the industry, at least that's what it felt like. Bill and his team were great! During the entire move I felt comfortable having someone like Bill be available at all times. On the move day the team was punctual and friendly they wrapped all of my items in ways that I felt relieved and assured that my furniture was in safe hands. I can't recommend this team enough.

I was very nervous about moving cross-country after reading so many bad reviews about "brand name" moving companies. BOLD is new so I checked them out thoroughly before calling. I feel extremely lucky to have found them.
The team was great from start to finish. They did exactly what they promised -- on time, immediate responses to questions, hard working, polite, and above all excellent packers. They professionally packed and moved all my furniture, antiques, china, collectibles, etc. They even built custom wooden crates for my special bronze statues. Everything arrived in excellent condition except for cracked glass on one picture, and they immediately paid the entire cost to have the glass replaced.
I'd give them 6 stars if I could, and enthusiastically refer them to my friends.

A couple months ago I moved from Washington DC to the Kansas City area. I found the whole process to be excellent, from getting a quote to scheduling a date, to the actual move. Communication was always very clear and responses were prompt. There was one hiccup in moving in where an existing light fixture in the new home was cracked. We are currently working through that though, and the company has been very reasonable to work with to come to resolution. I definitely recommend hiring these folks for your next move.

Extremely disappointed and very upset that damage was done to my home by careless movers, furniture ruined, tools missing and the sheer disregard for respecting someone else's property and belongings. Entire box of shoes missing, cedar chest cracked from top to bottom, numerous items from storage shed- hand tools, power tools disappeared, movers had the only key to get into shed. My mothers' clothing was removed from a tote and a box soaked with lamp oil was placed on top, soaking into and ruining clothing. Her clothing was never found. A special doll given to me by my now deceased brother missing from the cedar chest, silver platters missing, personal checks in a sealed box inside cedar chest were rifled through as the box was opened. Brass bed scratched and a bolt pulled out from the base, showing it was removed with force. Several deep gouges in the drywall in living room and bedroom, furnace door bent,cigarette burns in the carpet in 2 rooms. Washer and dryer drums were not packed, dryer front scratched. Kitchen table has a base and 4 claw feet- 2 screws from the feet were pulled and stripped, Ali unable to reassemble as they had no tools. I looked for MY TOOLS in MY SHED and found them GONE. Tools that I've had for YEARS, now MISSING. Had to go and borrow tools, and neighbors said movers were in your shed looking and took them. Several totes belonging to my mother/father are missing and never returned according to inventory sheet which is a JOKE, because nothing is sequencially documented, just a line drawn down the center. Large tote containing important legal matters and financial information never returned. Numerous totes and boxes are unaccounted for which contain family photos and personal affects. So, do I TRUST this so called company? NO WAY!! I am involving the State Police, ALL 3 Credit Bureaus, BBB in VA and PA. This company states on their website page," Items returned to CUSTOMER in the CONDITION they were PICKED UP" and " INTEGRITY takes PRECEDENCE OVER PROFIT" I think it's the other way around, " Profit over PRECEDENCE". I will not change this review for Bill, as he has no idea as to what his employees are doing in a strangers home, until the damage is done. Photos don't lie, and if persons want to personally contact me, please do because the list of betrayal and distruction is lengthy. Also was NEVER TOLD about a FINAL WALK THROUGH, doesn't matter because the damage is done, but the TRUST WILL NEVER BE REPAIRED. Remember, we all have to meet our MAKER, and answer to HIM, and I know I couldn't live with myself had I done ALL of these wrongful ACTS, to someone who put their TRUST into me to " Take care of their property, and treat it as if it were my own property" No INTEGRITY what so ever, and NO RESPECT AT ALL!! Deceitful and total Disregard.

I opted to cash out of California and give Florida a try so I went online and searched for the best moving company and I found Bold, I called into the main line and was greeted by Bill who took the time to provide me with an accurate cost breakdown of exactly how much it would take for his company to complete the job the correct way. So I gave him a shot and was not let down! From start to finish I was able to access clear communication and the crew that showed did an excellent job packing our belongings into their truck. Drop off was even better the crew got to our house in the amount of time we were told and we had opted to full packing and unpacking so we took off for a couple of hours to go to the bank etc and came home to a fully staged house per my wife's instructions.. Wish I could give them 10 Stars!

We had a crazy positive experience during COVID!! Bill was awesome from the jump and Rob and his crew did an INCREDIBLE job of wrapping and loading my belongings. There's no way I thought it would all fit in the 1 truck but it did! No wall marks to cover up from pick up or drop off, no property damaged, and great positive attitudes throughout.

I want to say something negative but I don't have a single bad word to say. Cannot recommend Bold Moving and Storage enough!!

When you move homes--at least if you're like us--you have a lot going on all at once. You plan, you prepare, but things always come up. There's too much to do and, suddenly, you're running out of time. That's why, when you move, you always end up counting on the proficiency and professionalism of your movers more than you'd expect.

We had a 1 bedroom move (small, but complicated, I assure you) from Florida long distance with a really fantastic team (Ali, Rodney, and Jaylen)! They were courteous and made sure everything we wanted was packed. They knew when to check with us on what should be packed, and even though they moved quickly, they knew when to stop and ask. They were pretty much always right, singling out items we'd forgotten to set aside for our own drive from Florida. This is why even though we debated it at first, we chose the packing service and it was well worth it! They were conscientious and helpful with things they didn’t need to do but did out of kindness. We really appreciated it and wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again if we had another move.

From David and Dort Bear: We have not moved in over 28 years, and so had a large accumulation of "stuff". The crew, consisting of O'neil, Terry, Ace, Ty and George, showed up on time, and O'neil was the man in charge. He went through the house and set up the move, and everybody worked well together, and they handled our belongings with care and respect. They took 5 hours to load the truck, and did a very thorough job of it. It was a pleasure to see Ace and Terry here in NC to do the unloading. They accomplished in 5 hours what took 5 guys to load, and again, we were impressed with their attention to detail, and the care of our stuff. They both deserve a big fat raise.

After the Horror stories i read about various Moving Companies, i was ready to go war with a arsenal of Questions with any Company I Hired. I quickly called back the troops after talking with Josh. Josh answer all my questions & explain why there were some bad reviews under one of our review searches. He had honest answers for the few bad reviews. Being a Man that's been around for a few minutes, I can usually tell when somebody blowing Smoke. Josh was Honest & Sincere with his explanations, and I could tell he was aware of these reviews. Most Business People that read their reviews are serious about their work.

The price didn't change even when we added a few things that weren't on the list. The movers were kind & professional. There's no way moving 4100 sq ft, 5 bed room house after living there for 26 years, that something wasn't going to get damaged - it did. My wife's valuable (to our Family anyway) Dining Room table arm was chipped. Called Josh, (he actually answered the call), he instructed the Movers to take the chair with them so he could send it out to be repaired. We received it back in time for our first Family Dinner.

Bottom line these Guys were Great, and i recommend them Highly. This is My Promise being fulfilled - I told Josh if he was true to his Word, I'd be true to mine & write a Review. I do not like writing reviews, because I'm not a good Writer (Public School Victim - Lawsuit Pending?) I did the best I could. Bold Movers will take the Worry of Out of your Move - My Word Is My Bond Believe It!

Bold Moving is outstanding! They met every date they promised and they did everything that they committed to do for the exact price that was quoted. Additionally, everything was done with a smile and with tremendous care for our furniture and valuables.

I would recommend them for all of these reasons and also because they provided packing, shipping, and assembly services for a very reasonable price.

Lastly, I want to personally call out and thank the team that worked on our move. Thank you Ali, Abdul, Barry, Lenny, and Michael! You guys helped us to have the smoothest move ever with no drama, no damage, personal care, professionalism, timeliness, cleanliness, and supreme efficiency.

Fast, fair priced, quick pickup and delivery, but most importantly, professional! Not a single item broken, Ali is the best packer imaginable. He ran the team like a captain on a ship. All of our items arrived in perfect condition. Tony and his partner were fantastic on the delivery too. It was a cross country move, so I was expecting a bit of a disaster. Not the case. Can thank you all enough. Most importantly, all of our glass, antiques and valuables were safe and sound. Thank you!

We hired Bold Moving and Storage based on other reviews in Consumer Affairs. We were moving from New Jersey to Florida and had a time the move just right. We spoke with Bill on the phone and conducted a virtual tour of what needed to be moved. He was very professional and courteous and guided us throughout the whole process. The team of movers led by Leo did a terrific job. They were courteous and extremely careful about everything they moved. They worked with us every step of the way and kept us apprised of their location and anticipated arrival in Florida. All of our furniture and boxes arrived on time and there were no damages to anything. They had to make two stops. One at a storage unit which they stored all our boxes. Fitting it in was a puzzle but they did a great job! The balance of our stuff was unloaded in our apartment. They worked with us to organize our furniture in a much smaller place. Can't say enough about Leo and his team and the manager of Bold Moving and Storage. They turned what could have been a very stressful time into an extremely satisfying experience. I highly recommend them over any of the big commercial movers. Their personalized support cannot be matched.

I've moved 3 times in the last 5 years and have dealt with a number of moving companies. Bold Moving and Storage was by far the best moving company I have ever worked with. They took amazing care of all my stuff and worked with me on pick up and drop off times. Another huge difference between Bold and other moving companies was that the quoted price and the actual price were exactly the same. I didn't pay a dime over the original quoted price! If you are moving anywhere, this is the only company to use!

“Relax, It’s Just Stuff” Is what we were repeatedly told this past Saturday July 9th, 2022 when we called the owners of Bold Movers, Josh and Chris, to notify them that the contents of our truck were in complete disarray and the 3 men unpacking it were handling our carefully pack and beloved items with immense carelessness. “Relax, it’s just stuff, we have a claims department that deals with this” was a frequent phrase used, by a MOVING company, a company that exists for this single purpose and states on their website “Moving isn’t just about stuff. It’s about memories.”

We started our move a day late on June 29th after we were told our truck had broken down en route to us on our assigned moving day. This is one of those unfortunate but understandable events so we just worked extra quickly the next day to get the house we were moving out of packed and tidied up before the new owners arrived. In our initial phone conversations with Sharon from Bold Movers we were told our truck would be a day or 2 behind us to let us get to our destination and be prepared for the truck’s arrival at our rented storage unit.

10 DAYS later, after multiple inquiries, our truck arrived to our storage unit. But it was not our truck. It was a different truck than the one that we had seen being packed with our items in it. During that 10-day period our items had been unpacked and then re-packed into a new truck with no notification or consent from us that this was happening. When the truck arrived to our destination and was opened there were boxes strewn about, toppled over, crushed. Our larger furniture items were laying in awkward positions or on their side with all weight distributed unevenly on fragile legs, armrests, and other delicate areas.

As the 3 men started to unpack our truck it became clear that they did not know how to efficiently and effectively move items. When we expressed concern about this during our phone conversation that day we were told that “They are in training” as an excuse. But there was no training, the men barely spoke to each other. There was no working together. They carried huge and heavy items independently, never 2 men to move anything. Heavy boxes and furniture were hoisted up in to the air and thumped down on dollies, or just dropped. Our large antique chest of drawers was attempted to be pick up by 1 man, turned on its side placing all weight on 2 wooden legs, one of which, unsurprisingly, snapped off. Boxes labeled “fragile” and “this side up” were knocked over and upside down. Multiple wooden legs of furniture are completely broken off and some we have been unable to find. Wheels are missing off of antique furniture, we found one wheel on the floor in the actual storage unit. Both the washer and dryer have large dents in the metal that were not previously there and we actually witnessed one of the movers attempt to move them down the storage facility hallway by violently shaking them back in forth and scraping them along the concrete floor to move them by himself. Boxes were dropped, dragged and thrown despite our begging them to be more careful.

The owners of Bold Movers told us that because we packed our own boxes “you probably didn’t pack them right and no insurance company is going to reimburse for incorrectly packed boxes.” We assured him that the boxes were packed incredibly carefully, tight, to the top and very internally supported. We have previously packed boxes traveling from California to Massachusetts in a large move and those items arrived intact so how is it that in a move less than half that far from New York to Massachusetts nearly every box has damage to its exterior and interior? Josh at that point asked me what I do for a living, I wasn’t sure why that was relevant but I told him I’m an Emergency Room Nurse, to which he aggressively responded “Do I come to your work and tell you how to do your job?” There was also profanity used and directed at me in this same conversation.

We did so much research on moving companies before we decided to go with Bold Movers, mostly because they have a Better Business Bureau accreditation, and they were initially very friendly and informative on the phone. They were a little more expensive than others but we went with them with the expectation that their performance would reflect this. It did not.

Sadly, after the unpacking began we felt we needed to record and photograph what was happening in front of our eyes. Through our initial shock and disbelief we recognized that this was truly unbelievable and because our only response from the owners was accusatory, condescending and aggressive, we needed to document as much as possible. In addition to all the damage caused by the carelessness of this company we still have multiple items that are missing and unaccounted for. The company has NOT contacted us about making this right.
